C-Series

The C-Series Five Multi-Fuel stove burns wood and solid fuels efficiently with low emissions. It features a fixed grate, Cleanburn and airwash technologies, and a drop-down throat plate for easy chimney cleaning. With a single air control and external air inlet, it’s DEFRA exempt for smoke control areas and includes a sliding ashpan for easy ash removal.

Skye E700

The Skye E700 is a microprocessor-controlled wood-burning stove designed to maximise efficiency and reduce emissions. Using Charnwood’s I-Blu technology, it monitors the fire and adjusts the combustion process in real-time to optimise burn efficiency. This intelligent system ensures air is delivered in the right amounts, creating a cleaner, more efficient fire.

The Cranmore 5

The Cranmore 5 blends classic Regency-inspired design with modern functionality. Featuring a single framed glass door and a large picture window, it suits both traditional fireplaces and freestanding spaces. Handcrafted on the Isle of Wight, this stove uses Charnwood’s clean-burn Blu technology for an efficient 5kW output and high environmental performance, including a clearSkies level 5 rating.

Available in several colours, it offers a cool-to-touch handle, simple operation with a single air control, and easy ash removal with a sliding firebed.

Grate Expectations is a well-established, family run business. The company has supplied and installed fires, fireplaces, stoves and flues in London and the surrounding area for more than 35 years.

Based on our knowledge and experience, Grate Expectations has built an excellent reputation that continues to be enhanced by the meticulous approach we take with every project.

Our friendly, professional team efficiently manages each order from sale through to installation.

We take great pride in ensuring that each client is 100% satisfied prior, during and following installation of their Fireplace.

Like central heating boilers, gas fires, stoves, and wall heaters, combustion appliances gradually accumulate dirt as airborne particles are drawn in during use. These particulates can affect the ignition of the fire or stove over time.

Additionally, wear and tear on components is inevitable, which is why we strongly recommend annual servicing for your fire or stove. Your dealer or installer can provide guidance and take care of the maintenance.

This also applies to wood-burning stoves. It’s important to prevent the air supply from becoming blocked by ash, which can be managed by the owner. However, cleaning the flue duct is beyond the owner’s scope, and regular chimney sweeping is necessary. The frequency of sweeping depends on how often the stove is used and the type of wood burned.

If you encounter any issues with a fire or stove purchased from Grate Expectations, please contact us with the model's serial number (a ten-digit number found on the nameplate). We will work to resolve the issue promptly.

If needed, we may contact Charnwood for replacement parts (under guarantee), and their engineer may visit your home to address the problem. If the model is still under warranty and has been installed and used according to guidelines, this service will be provided at no cost.
