Grate Expectations is a family run business established in 1984. We are chimney specialists who offer free home surveys. Not only that but Grate Expectations Specialise in a range of antique fireplaces, original fireplaces, traditional fireplaces, contemporary fireplaces and recently have added the chesney range to there specialist fireplace range. Not only do they specialise in the fireplace they also sell antique surrounds & original tiles. Grate expectations have two branches, one based in the north (Doncaster) and one based in the south (Wimbledon, Surrey). This branch has recently just open as it had relocated from Wandsworth Surrey. Visit our 2 large showrooms displaying 100's of original and repro fireplaces. Grate Expectations have recently had a relocated their south east branch in surrey. This branch of Grate Expecations Originaly located in Wandsworth Surrey has now moved to Wimbledon, Surrey.
At the moment the contemporary range online is only a small selection to that which we have in store. The contemporary range is not the only range that Grate expectations offer, we also sell an antique original range, a traditional range and fireplaces from the chesney range. As well as original tiles and surrounds for antique fireplaces. When fitting a fireplace whether it be from any range from traditional - an original fireplace all work carried out by grate expectations in your home is done by our qualified staff which includes stone masons, no work is sub contracted. There's a full restoration service available for all sorts of fireplaces, either marble or cast iron .
